MedScore is a clinical reference calculator for healthcare professionals and students, available as an app for iOS and Android and as a website (medscoreapp.com). In short: MedScore collects no patient data, has no user accounts, contains no analytics or advertising, and keeps your settings only on your device.
Who is responsible
Controller within the meaning of the GDPR: Nabil Alzein, Heidelberg, Germany.
azn.nabil@gmail.comData stored on your device
The app and the website save the following only on your device (the app’s storage, or the browser’s local storage for the website). It is not sent to us and we cannot see it:
• Preferences: language, appearance, physician or patient mode, units (including the unit you chose for a single value) and your preferred specialty on the home screen.
• In the app: the number of calculations completed today, whether you have unlocked MedScore Pro, and any emergency-access grant.
• Recently opened calculators.
• Favourites and calculation history, if you use them. A history entry contains the calculator, the result and its category, and the time — not the values you entered.
• Your answers and results in Specialty Choice (compass test and specialty quizzes).
• In the app: two counters that decide when the system’s “rate this app” prompt may be shown.
Values you enter in a calculator
Values you type into a calculator (for example a lab value or an age) are held in memory only while that screen is open. They are never stored and never sent off the device. MedScore does not ask for, and cannot store, patient names or other identifiers.
Deleting your data
Clearing the app’s data, uninstalling the app, or clearing the website’s data in your browser erases everything listed above. History can also be cleared in the app at any time.
Purchases (app)
The one-time “Pro” unlock is processed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to verify and remember the purchase. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated identifier (not linked to your name or email), your purchase history for this app and basic device information such as operating system, app version and country. It receives no clinical data.

The “rate this app” prompt is shown by Apple or Google. A rating you leave goes to the store; we receive no personal data from it.
Feedback and email
“Send feedback” opens a Google Form in your browser. Using it is optional; the form receives only what you type and is subject to Google’s privacy policy. If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you.
Google privacy policyApp updates
The app uses Expo’s update service to deliver improvements. When it checks for an update, Expo’s servers may log your IP address and basic device information.

medscoreapp.com is delivered by Cloudflare. To deliver the pages and protect them against attacks, Cloudflare processes technical connection data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. The website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics.
Cloudflare privacy policyLinks to other sites
Links to the App Store, Google Play or other websites open those services, whose own privacy policies apply.
Analytics and tracking
MedScore contains no advertising, no analytics software and no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
Children
MedScore is intended for healthcare professionals and students and is not directed at children.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Because we hold no personal data about you on our own servers, there is usually nothing for us to export or delete; purchase records held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat are governed by their policies. Write to us with any request.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date above changes and the new version is published at this address.
