GCS (0–2), ICH volume ≥ 30 cm³ (1), intraventricular haemorrhage (1), infratentorial origin (1), age ≥ 80 (1); 30-day mortality rose stepwise with the score and no patient with a score of 0 died.

Guideline

The ICH score is cited by the 2022 AHA/ASA Guideline for the Management of Spontaneous Intracerebral Hemorrhage as a validated severity scale, with the caveat that early prognostic scores should not by themselves drive limits on care.
